This Yoga instructor course is mainly taught through blended learning which is a mixture of home study/e-learning for the theory aspect and face to face training covering the practical elements of the course which are available in various locations in Scotland.

Once booked on to the course you will be sent out your course manual and set up for your e-learning to support you through your study. You’ll work with us over three weekends in a small group environment with your allocated tutor covering the practical elements of the Yoga course (you choose your dates from the dates listed) which we run throughout the year in your chosen location in either Penicuik, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Fife or Aberdeen. You then attend one assessment day for your practical assessment.

Underpinning principles of teaching yoga

Unit 2 Anatomy and physiology for yoga

Planning a series of yoga sessions

Health and safety for yoga

Teaching a yoga session

Assessment and Certification

Candidates are assessed through written questions, product evidence, on course practical assessment, video or face to face assessment

On completion candidates will be awarded the Active IQ Diploma in Teaching Yoga
